Canadian engagements run on the same footing as my US work, and most of my eight years has been North American. The operational norms, the tooling and the working rhythm are close enough that there is no adjustment period. Where Canada differs is data residency: for clients with PIPEDA or provincial requirements, I build on self-hosted infrastructure rather than routing through whichever cloud connector is most convenient.
Working hours
Canadian Eastern time matches US Eastern, so the same shifted schedule applies: roughly 8:00am–2:00pm ET, which reaches 5:00am–11:00am PT for Vancouver-based teams.
